HAN’s complaint

KATHMANDU: HAN team on Thursday met with the newly appointed tourism minister Pradip Gyanwali and complained that the sector has not been given due ‘national importance’ despite its role in employment generation. “According to World Tourism Organisation, one tourist visiting the country gives employment to nine people, directly or indirectly,” states a press release issued by HAN. Hoteliers appealed the minister for resolving the tourism sector’s problems as soon as possible. They advised to help Nepal Airlines Corporation in gaining its lost credibility as it holds tremendous potentials in boosting tourism. — HNS
