SBI bank holds AGM

KATHMANDU: The 12th annual general meeting of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd (NSBL) was held today under the chairmanship of Bal Krishna Shrestha. According to a bank statement, the bank has registered an operating profit of Rs 279.4 million in the fiscal year 2005-06, thereby recording a growth of 45.57 per cent in comparison to last year. —HNS

Oriental Hotel’s AGM

KATHMANDU: Oriental Hotel Ltd (Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu) held its eight annual general meeting today at City Hall, says a press statement issued today. At the annual general meeting, B K Shrestha, managing director of Radisson Hotel informed shareholders about the hotel’s performance. The hotel has over 29,000 shareholders. —HNS

NBL, KUSOM’s MoU

KATHMANDU: Nepal Bank Ltd (NBL) and Kathmandu University School of Management(KUSOM) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), according to a statement issued here today. Peter Ward, acting chief executive officer of NBL and Prof Subash K C, dean of KUSOM, signed the MoU on behalf of NBL and KUSOM, respectively. As per the MoU, NBL staffers will take part in KUSOM’s academic trainings and research. —HNS

BDFIL shares on offer

KATHMANDU: Securities Board of Nepal has approved 120,000 units of rights share issuance to Business Developmental Financial Institute Ltd (BDFIL) on Thursday, according to a statement issued here today. NIDC Capital Market Ltd is given the right of distribution and marketing of shares. — HNS
