Follow business code’

Ramechhap: An interaction on code of conduct was organised in Manthali on Tuesday. Entrepreneurs, on the occasion, stressed on the need to implement the code of conduct. D B Basnet, representative an entrepreneur from Janakpur and central executive member of the FNCCI, said that “if we follow the code of conduct, it will help run business in disciplined manner.” He said that the code of conduct for businessmen have been formulated because of the growing complaints of corruption and irregularities against businessmen and entrepreneurs. Sudarshan Karki, president of the Dolakha Industries and Commerce Association, Dhurbaraj Lama, chairman of the Ramechhap DDC, Narayandas Shrestha, the chairman of Ramechhap Industries and Commerce Association, Mohankrishna Khanal, the district justice, Mohan Prasad Wagle, CDO and Ramchandra Biyogi, chairman of the Ramechhap Bar, also spoke. — RSS

Farmers denied help

BHARATPUR: Farmers have been facing difficulties as they could not get any technical cooperation due to lack of technicians after 10 agro sub-centres of the district were closed by the government last year, the District ADO, Chitwan said. Vacancies of 25 technical staff, including that of agriculture officer, have also been scraped with the shut down of the sub-centres. Farmers have complained that they have to travel long distances to get help. — RSS
