JSM to resume soon
KATHMANDU:
Jyoti Spinning Mills (JSM) is set to resume its operation very soon. It has closed down its operations after the Maoists bombed the mill. JSML said that repairing and maintenance of damaged machines and other parts of the factory is on. “The operation of the mill came to a grinding halt following explosion on August 17. With the closure of the factory, over 1,000 employees have become jobless,” a press note said. — HNS

Contraband seized
KATHMANDU:
The Armed Police Force, revenue patrol team, Birgunj has confiscated goods worth Rs 340,000 that had been smuggled from India into Nepal. The goods have been handed over to Customs. — RSS
