Trademark row solved

KATHMANDU: Following dispute over use of logo and trademark between Quality Biscuit Industries and Quality Diet and Food Products, the Department of Industry (DoI) has suspended the use of Kwality logo and trademark of Tasty-Tasty. DoI took the decision in accordance with the clause 21 (d) of Patent, Design and Trademark Act-2022, which bars use of logo or trademark registered in the name of one company by the other company without a written agreement. Such agreement should also specify time frame, type and conditions of using the logo and trademark by the second party. — HNS
