China Trade Fair in April
KATHMANDU: China Trade fair-2005, the first major Chinese Trade fair in Nepal, is being held from April 15-18 at BICC in Kathmandu. The fair is being organised to mark the 50th year of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The main objective of the show is to display and sell high quality Chinese products in Nepal. Medicine raw materials, automobiles, health products, agricultural products, textile and garments and electronic equipment are to be displayed at the show. — HNS
Health food in mid-air
KATHMANDU: Passengers of Thai airlines are to be served with special on-board menu of healthy Thai food between 13-15 April to celebrate Songkran Festival. Thai Airlines arranged this special on-board menu to introduce healthy Thai food to all passengers and to further promote Thai agricultural products and especially healthy Thai food in Thailand.— HNS
Budget made public
DIPAYAL: Doti DDC has made public a budget Rs 610 million for the fiscal year 2004-05. Bisworaj Dotel, CDO anounced the budget at the 12th district council meeting. The DDC has allocated Rs 520 million for the government sector and Rs 90 million for the non-governmental

Brush industries closing
SUNSARI: Eighty per cent of brush industries have already closed and the remaining twenty per cent are also on the verge of closure. The import of low standard brushes from India, government indifference towards the industry and lack of raw materials have all contributed to the closure. — RSS
Action against clinics
NAWALPARASI: The district health office and the cottage and small industry office Nawalparasi have taken action against clinic operators in Parasi for illegal sale of medicines.
