BUTWAL: National Industrial Fair - 2005 is going to be held in Butwal from March 4 -13. The fair had been stalled for three times. There will be more than 200 stalls of different industrial products at the fair. Rice price fixed at Jhapa:
BHADRAPUR: A meeting of the supply management committee, Jhapa held on Sunday has decided to purchase aruwa mansuli rice at Rs 1,635 per quintal and sona mansuli at Rs 1,395 per quintal.Representatives from the Food Corporation, Consumers Forum, district agricultural development office, Jhapa Chamber of Commerce and farmers participated in the meeting. — RSS

Inflation in China stable:
BEIJING: There is no chance that inflation will spiral out of control, official Chinese media reported Wednesday amid concerns that the country is underestimating inflationary risks. Judging from China’s current (economic) conditions, there exists no possibility of any serious inflation. — AFP
Taiwan, China trade rises:
TAIPEI: Total trade between Taiwan and China in 2004 rose by 33.1 per cent to $61.64 billion on the back of the mainland’s rapid economic expansion. China accounted for 18 per cent of Taiwan’s total trade last year, compared with 17.1 per cent earlier. — AFP
Brazilian economy grows:
SAO PAULO: Brazil’s economy expanded by 5.2 per cent in 2004, rebounding from anemic growth the year before and making its best showing in a decade. The country also posted a strong trade surplus in February. — AP
