FMD starts operations

Kathmandu: First Microfinance Development (FMD) Bank Ltd with license from Nepal Rastra Bank started operations from January 8. FMD said that KIST Bank Ltd, Global Bank Ltd, NDEP Bank Ltd, ICFC Finance Company Ltd and chartered accountants are its promoters. The bank has its corporate office at Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu.

IME turns six

KATHMANDU: IME Nepal recently celebrated its 6th anniversary at Kathmandu, Butwal, Pokhara and Ithahari with the slogan, "IME Campaign for Economical Development". According to the press statement issued, for the economic development of rural areas IME is supporting the rural people by buying the local products that is Tulasi, Lemon Grass etc and search an appropriate market for the products.
