IA’s promotional fares

Kathmandu:

Indian Airlines Ltd has has decided to launch special promotional fares with effect from January 16 till March 31, 2005. According to a press statement of the airlines issued today, the charge for KTM-Delhi is Rs 5,000 (economy), KTM-Delhi-Kathmandu (economy) Rs 9,600, KTM-Delhi will be Rs 6,700 (executive) and KTM-Delhi-KTM is fixed at Rs 13,000. —HNS

Japan, India tax talks

TOKYO:

Japan said it will start talks with India on avoiding double taxation to give new momentum to bilateral trade. Indian finance ministry officials will hold negotiations in Tokyo on February 7-10 on ways to revise the two countries’ tax treaty for the first time since 1989. — AFP
