FNTE forms new body

KATHMANDU: The 13th annual general meeting of Federation of Nepalese Transport Entrepreneurs (FNTE) has elected a new committee under the chairmanship of Hira Udas. Bhairab Man Shrestha, Shree Prasad Mainali, Bhim Ratna Newa, Tulsiram Maharjan and Chandra Prasad Bhusal are the vice-chairmen of the committee. Bishnu Dhakal, Krishna Prasad Subedi, Kumar Thapa and Dil Prasad Kandel are the general secretary, secretary, treasurer and joint treasurer respectively. — HNS

Timber confiscated

RAUTHAT: The district forest office, Rautahat has confiscated 87 logs of raw timber from the jungle in Judibela VDC in Rauthat which was chopped down for smuggling by suspected timber smugglers. The timber is said to cost around Rs 100,000 in the local market. — RSS

MCSIA elects committee

BIRATNAGAR: The sixth convention of Morang Cottage and Small Industries Association, (MCSIA) Biratnagar has appointed a 11-member new working committee under the chairmanship of Bijayasingh Sijapati for a term of three years. Sur Bahadur Shrestha is the vice-chairman, Madan Ghimire the general secretary and Thakurdev Dhungel is the secretary in the committee. — RSS

Team to look after herbs

DHANGADI: Participants of a seminar on herbal market and management have formed a task force for the production, development and its proper utilisation of the herbal products. The task force was formed with a view to co-ordinating with various organisations for the proper utilisation of the forest products. Discussion was also held on the collection of the products. — RSS
