Nepal best in hospitality

KATHMANDU: Nepal has been voted for its best service and hospitality award in Germany. According to Nepal Tourism Board, Reise & Preise, one of the leading consumer traveller magazines in Germany conducted a poll for their readers to choose the best service and hospitality, beach, cultural destination, airlines, tourism board, and best destination in Asian countries. Nepal bagged the first prize in the best Asian service and hospitality category. Nepal has been followed by Japan and Taiwan. — HNS

Workshop on co-ops

BIRGUNJ: A two-day-long workshop on cooperative bazaar promotion with a view of reforming the Cooperative Act, coordination and unity of cooperatives began here today. A total of 55 participants are taking part in the workshop organised by the department of cooperatives. Working papers on cooperative bazaar network, importance of the cooperatives and marketing, sustainable development through economic development will be presented during the workshop. — RSS

Job oriented training

PANAUTI: Kavre district branch of the cottage and small industries organised three job-oriented training programmes recently. Thirteen participants took part in the training programme on radio and television repairing, twelve on motorcycle repairing and thirteen women on stray and hay handicrafts making. Krishna Bahadur Karki, chief of the branch office of the cottage and small office gave away certificates. — RSS
