Agro production centre

TEHRATHUM: Agricultural Production Center (APC) has been constructed at Shukrabare Bazaar of Hamarjung VDC, Tehrathum district. The Building was constructed at a total cost of Rs 119,937 received from DDC, VDC and the locals. The construction of the Agricultural Production Centre will benefit about 1,650 people of 25 households to store and sale the agricultural productions. RSS

Govt to send 10 abroad

TERATHUM: Government is to provide facility of foreign employment to ten persons of Myanglung, the district headquarters of Tehrathum under the first phase programme. The government had declared to provide the opportunity of foreign employment to the fire victims of the district last year. Employment promotion centre has informed the district administration to prepare lists of ten persons, who were affected by the fire last year. RSS

US anti-dumping duties

WASHINGTON: The US has decided to impose anti-dumping duties on imports of pre-stressed concrete steel wire strand (PC strand) from India and four other countries. The US International Trade Commission (USITC) took the decision in a 6-0 vote today after an "affirmative final determination" that such imports from India, Brazil, Mexico, South Korea and Thailand were hurting or threatening the US industry.
