DHUNCHE: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Quo Guohang has assisted a school in the northern belt of Rasuwa district with Rs 1 million. Hang, who was on a Rasuwa trip to examine Saphrubesi- Rasuwagadi highway, provided the sum to purchase computers including other educational materials for Nepal Rastriya Secondary School in Gatalang VDC of the district.

Dhankuta khukuris

DHANKUTA: Dhankuta district exported khukuris worth Rs 40,000 within the last four month this fiscal year. The demand for the khukuris increased after customers found that khukuris made in the district were more elegant, said chief industry officer of the Small and Domestic Entrepreneurs' Development Committee Gopal Sharma. There are five khukuri industries running and which employ 34 workers. Kanchan Khukari Industry owner Gopal Biswakarma said he gleans around Rs 200,000 profit annually from his business. He said his industry exported khukuris worth around Rs 800,000 last year.
