RBB ATM in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) started its ATM service at Prithvi Chowk of Pokhara from Tuesday. The ATM was inaugurated by Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha, chief manager of Nepal Rastra Bank’s Pokhara regional office. RBB has 17 ATMs throughout Nepal and it is planning to install 50 ATMS in the current fiscal year. The bank has 116 automated branches. — HNS

Policy focus

KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) president Kush Kumar Joshi on Wednesday urged delegates of FNCCI’s Syangja district chapter to focus on long-term policies. A group of entrepreneurs from Syangja led by Deepak Lamsal visited FNCCI as part of an observation tour of FNCCI and sister organizations on Tuesday. Joshi asked his colleagues to find out the strength of the district for rapid economic activities. He assured the enterpreneurs that coffee-farming would be included in the one-village, one-product project for Syangja district. — HNS

Kist adds branch

KATHMANDU: Kist Bank Ltd opened its 36th branch in Amarpath of Butwal municipality of Rupandehi district. Kamal Prasad Gyawali, managing director of the bank, inaugurated the branch amid a function on Wednesday. Kist Bank is opening its 37th branch at Kalimati of Kathmandu on Thursday. — HNS

BoAN in Birgunj

KATHMANDU: Bank of Asia Nepal (BoAN) opened its 22nd branch in Birgunj. Chairman of the bank, Trilok Chand Agrawal inaugurated the branch during a function on Wednesday. The bank has collected a total deposit of Rs 8.9 billion and invested Rs 8.86 billion since inception. — HNS
