FNCCI hails workers

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) congratulated workers on the occasion of 120th Labour Day. Issuing a press statement, FNCCI president Kush Kumar Joshi urged for friendly relations between employers and workers.

Dismissal row in Spice

KATHMANDU: Spice Nepal Employee Welfare Council is on protest against the management decision regarding the dismissal of Yuvraj Giri, an employee of Spice Nepal. In a press statement, the trade union said it has submitted a 36-point memorandum to the management and stopped all work except some critical operations. — HNS

Etihad bags awards

KATHMANDU: Etihad Airways’ innovative loyalty programme has been voted the best in no less than four separate categories at this year’s ‘Freddie’ awards, organised by the respected US-based InsideFlyer magazine to recognise the travel industry’s best frequent flyer programmes. Etihad Guest picked up ‘Best Website’, ‘Best Member Communication’, ‘Best Bonus Promotion’ and ‘Best Award Redemption’ awards for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, states a press release. — HNS
