NMCCI meeting
Kathmandu: Malaysian ambassador to Nepal Dato’ Ilankovan Kolandavelu along with Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) director Vasu Nallayan on Monday met Nepal-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NMCCI) president Chandra Prasad Dhakal and NMCCI members. The Malaysian envoy and Nallayan discussed with NMCCI the possibilities of cooperation in hydro power sector, resorts, hotels, supply of labour and infrastructure development projects like roads and bridges. MIDA is the official main agency for promotion of manufacturing and services sectors in Malaysia. It assists companies which intend to invest in manufacturing and related services sectors and also facilitates implementation of their projects. — HNS
CG Finco-IDB deal
KATHMANDU: CG Finco general manager Ashish Sharma and International Development Bank chief executive officer Raja Ram Khadka signed an agreement to provide Western Union money transfer services. (WUMT). Khadka said WUMT services would add extra mileage to the bank and benefit people. CG Finco has over 650-plus agent partner locations to provide services of Western Union. — HNS
NSBI’s 31st ATM
KATHMANDU: Nepal SBI Bank has started its 31st ATM service in Hotel Shangri-la, Lazimpat. Hotel Shangri-La’s chairman Shyam Bahadur Pandey and the bank’s managing director N K Chari jointly inaugurated the newly installed ATM terminal on Monday. The bank plans to set up nine more ATMs in Chauni, Kalanki, Thamel, Durbar Marg, New Road inside Kathmandu Valley, Baglung, Waling, Rampur and Pokhara. — HNS
