HBL expands

KATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank Ltd inaugurated its 24th branch at new Baneshwor on Friday. The bank as of the end of first month of the current fiscal year has registered a deposit of Rs 37,976.70 million and loan portfolio is over Rs 25,904.45 million. Last fiscal year, HBL registered operating profit of Rs 1.16 billion, states the press statement issued. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Citizens Bank International Ltd launched its 13th branch office at Birtamod on

Friday. According to a press statement, the bank

collected a total deposit of Rs 11.52 billion during

the fiscal year 2008-09, granted a loan of Rs 8.21 million and registered an operating profit of Rs 184.5 million. — HNS

Ambuja grows

KATHMANDU: Ambuja Cement has enhanced its capacity to 450MT per day, the company said on Friday. It has added a 300MT plant recently and producing 10,000 packages of cement daily, company’s press statement read. The company will install 500MT within six months. — HNS
