NLIC to issue rights shares

KATHMANDU: The Board of Director of Nepal Life Insurance Co (NLIC) on Monday decided to issue 25 per cent rights shares. The decision has to be approved from its next annual general meeting, states a press release. — HNS

HCF resumes operation

HETAUDA: Hetauda Cement Factory (HCF) that remained closed for last 20 days due to the demands of employees has resumed its operations from this morning. Employees — including security guards, labourers assigned thro-ugh contractors — laun-ched phase-wise protest since January 6. The operation resumed after a three-point agreement reached between the management and workers. — RSS

Cooperative earns Rs 14m

DAMAULA: Tanahhun District Dairy Producers’ Cooperatives Union earned over Rs 14 million last year. It sold 4,12,000 litres of milk during the period. Amar Bahadur Kunwar, chairman of the cooperative, said that the money was channeled from urban areas to villages because of dairy business. — RSS

Milk chilling centre set up

DHUNCHE: Hamro Multipurpose Cooperatives has set up a milk chilling centre at Kalikasthan of Dhaibung in Rasuwa. The chilling centre will benefit dairy farmers and boost their income. Around 10,000 farmers will benefit from the first chilling centre in the district. — RSS
