Lumbini over Basel II
KATHMANDU: As of December-January 2009, Lumbini Bank Ltd has exceeded its Cash Reserved Ratio — taking its capital requirement to 11 per cent, that is above the mandatory 10 per cent under BASEL II norm set by NRB. It also posted a profit of Rs 364.1 million in the first half of this fiscal year. The bank increased its operating income to Rs 262 million, which was Rs 152 million during the same period last fiscal year. — HNS
Yeti Air’s CSR
KATHMANDU: Yeti Airlines under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) handed over cheques for Rs 2,32,467 each to four organisations — TEWA, OCCED, Sewa Kendra Leprosy Relief, Nepal Glaucoma Eye Clinic on Wednesday. A sum of Rs 4 was collected from each air ticket sold. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Gurkha Development Bank inaugurated its fifth branch at Dhulabari, Mechinagar. According to a press release, it has an authorised capital of Rs 2 billion. — HNS
