Control price: FM

KATHMANDU: Finance minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai on Tuesday directed the central bank officials to control prices. Despite drop in prices in international market, prices in local market has not gone down, he said. Inflation in India has come down to half but in Nepal it is increasing, which has no logic, he said. The central bank has promised to keep inflation at 7.5 per cent but at present its almost double. FM Dr Bhattarai also inspected troubled Nepal Bank Ltd on Tuesday. — HNS

BoK adds three ATMs

KATHMANDU: Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) has installed three additional ATMs at New Baneshwor (branch office), ATM Lounge (New road) Dharma Path and Thamel (branch office) on Tuesday. BoK now has a total of 17 ATM terminals from where services such as cash withdrawal, balance inquiry, mini statement printing can be availed, said the bank. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Digitainment Pvt Ltd has launched the latest Bollywood ringtones in Nepal. These will be available to both Nepal Telecom and Mero Mobile subscribers across the country. According to a press statement, mobile users can download latest ringtones even before a movie is released. For the first time, downloads can be had in all three formats - Monotone, Polytone and Truetones. “Digitainment offers only those Nepali and Bollywood songs that have copyright with them,” said Gyanendra Raj Shakya, Manager-Business Development. — HNS
