Nepal SBI in Hetauda

KATHMANDU: Nepal SBI Bank Ltd inaugurated its 19th branch office at Hetauda on Monday. A press release issued said that it is plans to set up six more branches outside the valley and seven within the valley. — HNS

Kumari’s 50+ savings

KATHMANDU: Kumari Bank Ltd has launched a new saving deposit product ‘50 plus savings’ for individuals above 50 years of age. According to a press release, the scheme will be effective from December 31 at all its branches. The minimum balance under this scheme is Rs 1,000 and it attracts six per cent interest rate per annum. — HNS

KASKI: After the declaration of power crisis by the government, most industries in Kaski are on the verge of closure. However, Pokhara industrial area is free of power outage though industries elesewhere are hit due to the increased load-shedding. Off-season

POKHARA: Agriculture Research Horticulture Centre, Pokhara, has undertaken test production of off-season onion using rainwater. Onion planted in July-August can be harvested in November-December. Farmers can get yields from off-season AFDR and N-53 species of onion within 90 days of cultivation, said centre in-charge Ram Bahadur KC adding there is high-income generation when off-season vegetables are ivated. — RSS

KATHMANDU: The regional meeting of Central Development Region and Far Western Development Region Transport Entrepreneurs concluded on Sunday.
