NATTA worried

KATHMANDU: Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has voiced concern over the halt in Manakamana cable car service. A NATTA release said the closure would hurt both international and domestic tourism and also revenue collection. NATTA has urged the authorities to sort out the problem soon. — HNS

Rights shares listed

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd ed 6,15,843-unit right share of Royal Merchant Banking and Finance Ltd (RMBFL). According to a press statement, it made a total of 12,20,000-unit share listed at the Nepse. During fiscal year 2007-08 it distributed 1:1 rights share. — HNS

CAWUN grievance

KATHMANDU: Contractors Association of Workers’Union Nepal (CAWUN) releasing a press statement has urged to fulfill the demand of the workers at Koshi Pump Chandra Cannel Irrigation Management Division number two. CAWUN blamed the management for not heeding the the workers’ demands. — HNS

No power supply

BAGLUNG: The only powerhouse in the district connected to national height stein line is unoperational since a year. Kanthekhola hydropower house with a capacity of 200 MW has not started working due to non-maintenance of pipes. The delay occurred due to lack of budget, said Baglung NEA district office. — RSS
