BFL’s counter

KATHMANDU: Butwal Finance Ltd (BFL) has set up an extension counter each at Nawalparasi’s Bardaghat and Kawasoti. According to a press statement, BFL made a collection of Rs 9.1 million and during the fiscal year 2007-08 the bank earned an operating profit of Rs .22 million. BFL will upgrade to an A-grade commercial bank soon, according to the statement. — HNS

Dabur’s workshop

KATHMANDU: The Ethno-botanical Society of Nepal (ESON) recently organised a two-day long training workshop on ‘Participatory conservation of Threatened Medicinal Plants and their Habitat in Rasuwa’ at Dhunche of Rasuwa district. This workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Manekor Society Nepal, FECOFUN-Rasuwa and Dabur Nepal on September 25-26. Altogether, some 25 trainees including medicinal plant collectors, traders, farmers of Chilime, Gatlang and Thuman VDCs and local representatives of NGOs, attended the two-day training workshop. — HNS
