SBI’s 11th ATM

KATHMANDU: Nepal SBI Bank Ltd has opened its 11th ATM counter at Adarshnagar, Birgunj. The bank already has ATM counters at New Road, the Lainchour-based Indian Embassy, Jawalakhel, Chipledhunga and Pencion Camp of Pokhara, Nepalgunj-Surkhet Road, Sunauli of Bhairahawa and the B P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and Pension Distribution Office at Dharan, says a press statement. The bank is planning to open ATM counters at Biratnagar, Birtamod and in other major cities of Nepal also. — HNS

Shares listed

KATHMANDU: Listing of rights share for the fiscal year 2007-08 of NIC Bank has been done at Nepal Stock Exchange. The bank has declared 20 per cent bonus shares and issued 20 per cent rights shares. It has a total paid up capital of Rs 944 million. According to a press statement, NIC Bank posted 57 per cent growth in the net profit to Rs 249 million and its non-performing loan currently stands at 0.9 per cent of total loans. — HNS

KDBL branch

KATHMANDU: Kasthmandap Development Bank Ltd (KDBL) inaugurated its sixth branch at Gongabu. It is planning to open another one at Satdobato, Lalitpur, within a week. According to a press note, KDBL at the end of fiscal year 2065 had a total deposit of Rs 404 million and loan of Rs 495 million with operating profit of Rs 6,01,000. — HNS

Aid for flood-hit

KATHMANDU: Agricultural Development Bank Employees’ Association (ADBEA), has donated 25 sackfuls of clothes to help the flood victims and also contributed Rs 21,000. According to a press statement, the president of ADBEA deposited the fund in the flood victim relief account opened by Avenues TV. The Lumbini regional committee of ADBEA contributed Rs 10,000 to the Prime Minster’s Relief Fund. — HNS
