Kist lists rights shares

KATHMANDU: Kist Merchant banking and Finance Ltd (KMBF Ltd) has listed its 60,00,000-unit rights shares in the secondary market. “It has also decided to give 1:1.5 rights shares to increase its paid up capital to Rs 2000 million,” states a press release. KMBF Ltd has appointed ACE Development Bank as sales and issue manager. — HNS

NFFA on warpath

KATHMANDU: Nepal Freight Forwarders’ Association (NFFA) padlocked the office of the chief of the Tribhuwan International Airport customs offfice on Monday to protest the new customs rate. NFFA has warned of continuing its protest. — HNS

Tata project in Bhutan

NEW DELHI: Tata Power, India’s largest private power utility, announced today it will develop a hydro-power project in Bhutan in partnership with the Bhutanese government and purchase the entire power generated. In a regulatory statement, Tata Power said it has acquired 26 per cent in a 114 megawatt hydro-electric power plant over river Dagacchu, through the Bhutan owned Druk Green Power Corp Ltd. — HNS
