HCF resumes

BHIMPHEDI: Hetauda Cement Factory (HCF) resumed production last night after the clinker machine was repaired. Cement production has been halted since last six days after they detected problems in the machine. The factory said the limestone — raw materials for the factory — was being brought from Jogimara and Majhimatar of Dhading and Bhainse and Okharepani of Makwanpur. — RSS

Tourism conference

BHAKTAPUR: Bhaktapur Tourism Development Committee organised a conference of multi-stakeholders of tourism here on Thursday to formulate tourism masterplan for the district. Around 180 people — including tourism entrepreneurs, representatives of political parties, local organisations, tourism experts, culture experts and technicians — took part in the two-day long conference that concluded on Friday. The conference is hoped to be able to form a master plan for tourism development of the district. — RSS

Energy price hiked

BEIJING: China sharply raised domestic energy prices across the board on Friday, as authorities shifted policy in the face of complaints that price controls were causing turmoil on global oil markets.
