Global in Biratnagar

KATHMANDU: Global Bank Ltd (GBL) has opened its sixth branch at Main Road in Biratnagar. Bir Bikram Rayamajhi, deputy governor, Nepal Rastra Bank, inaugurated the new branch on Monday. GBL plans to expand its branch network to Lahan, Damak and Tatopani soon, states a press release. The bank has already opened its branches in New Road, Birgunj, Baglung and Pokhara. — HNS

Sanima’s Nari Bachat

KATHMANDU: Sanima Bikas Bank Ltd (Sanima) has introduced a customised deposit product ‘Sanima Nari Bachat’. The account can be opened with a balance as low as Rs 500 that will attract 6.5 per cent interest per annum on monthly minimum balance, states a press release. An account holder will get a free ATM card and free Internet Banking facility as well. Sanima has been able to collect total deposit of Rs 2.60 billion and post loans and advances of Rs 2.25 billion as of the end of third quarter of the current fiscal year, it claims.— HNS

NBI holds AGM

KATHMANDU: National Business Initiative (NBI) held its second AGM on Saturday. It approved the annual progress and financial report presented by NBI chairman Padma Jyoti. FNCCI president Kush Kumar Joshi, NCC president Surendra Bir Malakar, FCAN president Sukunta Lal Hirachan, FWEAN president Pramila Rijal, Umesh Shrestha of Little Angels School also attended the AGM. — HNS
