Banks to remain open

KATHMANDU: Nepal Bankers’ Association has releasing a press statement said that banks are providing services — albeit partially — to their customers on the government holidays from April 7 to 11 also. “About 150 ATMs around the country will also be operational in those days,” states the release. — HNS

GFL’s rights shares

KATHMANDU: Gorkha Finance Ltd (GFL) held its 13th annual general meeting here on Friday. It, on the occasion, declared 1:1 rights shares. “It is also giving bonus from Rs 29.81 million it earned during 2063-64 and current fiscal year’s profits,” states a press release. It is also increasing its paid up capital to Rs 200 million. — HNS

ADB-N posts profits

KATHMANDU: Agriculture Development Bank Nepal (ADB-N) registered a net profit of Rs 1.84 billion in the fiscal year 2063-64. Presenting a report at the bank’s AGM on Wednesday, chairman of the bank management committee Mukunda Prasad Arjyal said that it received support from the Asian Development Bank during the same fiscal for the bank’s reform. “It would transform itself into a modern bank by 2011,” he said. — RSS
