KDBL starts ATM
KATHMANDU: Kasthamandap Development Bank Ltd (KDBL) has started ATM service at its head office at Pako, New Road in Kathmandu on the occasion of completion of 100 days of operations. Krishna Prasad Gyawali, acting chairman of KDBL inaugurated the bank’s first ATM counter on Friday. The bank has been providing competitive services like evening counter, 365-banking, ATM and locker facilities to its customers, states a bank press release here. —HNS
Trade traffic resumes
BHADRAPUR: Trade through Mechi Customs at Kakarbhitta has resumed after three days of obstruction. The customs office collected revenue worth Rs 10 million on Friday alone. The revenue collection was halted for the last three days due to bandh in the area. The revenue worth more than Rs 10 million was collected following the resumption of vehicles yesterday, said Ram Hari Aryal, an officer at the customs office. The Indian loaded trucks have also started entering Nepal without obstruction from Friday, he informed. —RSS
Far west fair begins
DHANGADHI: Rural Technology Exhibition and Far-West Micro & Cottage Industry Fair began here yesterday with the slogan of ‘develop entrepreneurship by utilising local resources’. Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang inaugurated the event and said we should exploit the potentials to make the whole country prosperous. FNCSI president Ang Dendi Sherpa said there will be no prosperity without the development of entrepreneurship. The five-day festival has 125 stalls. Main attraction of the fair are locally produced items. —RSS
