Petro supply to ease

Sundar Gupta said the supply of petro products will ease within 10 days. Talking to media here on Sunday, Gupta said that the crisis of petro products arose due to lack of
fund that will be sorted out within a few days. He said the sale of cooking gas will be opened for private sector but the price would be fixed by the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC). “Though the ministry cannot raise or slash prices of petroleum products, the cabinet had made direct intervention to increase the price in the past when there was an acute shortage,” he said adding that the government is preparing to introduce a Bill to open the import and sale of petroleum products for private sector. — RSS
NDB collects Rs 45.7m
MYAGDI: Neelgiri Development Bank (NDB), the first development bank in Dhaulagiri zone, has collected a deposit of Rs 45.7 million within the first 100 days of its establishment. At a press meet organised in Beni on Saturday, the bank stated that it has also mobilised loans worth Rs 44.71 million during the same period. “The bank has managed to reach all 41 VDCs of the district in a very short time,” said chairman of the bank management committee Hari Kumar Shrestha adding that the bank has provided loan in agriculture, education and
