Madrid tourism fair

KATHMANDU: Prithvi Subba Gurung, minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation, inaugurated an international tourism and trade fair in Madrid of Spain. Some 20 nations from Europe are participating in the fair, where there are 600 stall, including Nepal pavillion. — HNS

Tourists arrival rises

SANKHUWASABHA: Tourists increased remarkably in Sankhuwasabha district recently. Some four hundred tourists from Australia and Britain have visited Chatara and the Makalu-Barun National Park this year. They visited the lowest valley of the world Arun valley in Tumlingtar, the rhododendron capital of Milke Jaljale, Gufa Pokhari and Nundhaki. Hari Khanal of Gufa said tourists visiting to Kanchenjunga and Pathibhara temple are increasing. — RSS

NASDO holds AGM

LEKHNATH: The 13th general assembly and Seventh Micro Finance Day of the National Academic and Social Development Organisation (NASDO) held on Saturday. The convention passed the proposed budget of Rs 175.14 million. Established in 2054 BS in Parbat, it has extended its service in Myagdi, Baglung, Tanahu, Lamjung, Gorkha, Syanga and Palpa districts also. It has provided financial assistance to more than 10,000 oppressed and poor people so far. — RSS
