SEBO gets new chief

KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Dr Chiranjibi Nepal as the chairman of Securities Board Nepal (SEBO) for a four year term. Dr Nepal, who teaches economics at Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University, is also the general secretary of Nepal Economics Association. —HNS

BNL in aid of schools

KATHMANDU: Bottlers Nepal Ltd (BNL), a Coca-Cola manufacturing company located at Balaju Industrial District in Kathmandu, has supported the building of two classrooms for Shree Bal Kalyan Primary School at Jagriti Tole of Balaju. The school was established in 2048 BS by Nepal Sukumbasi Berojgar Kalyan Samaj (SBKS) with support from the local community. BNL also provided the school with 10 pairs of classroom furniture. —HNS

NCC condemns union

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has condemned misbehaviour by trade unionists and cadres of Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Trade Union, directed at general secretary Ishwar Bahadur Bhusal, and member Thaneswar Thapa of Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Industry Assciation.—HNS
