BOK unveils ATM
KATHMANDU: Bank of Kathmandu Ltd has opened its new ATM counter at Krishna Tower in New Baneshwor, Buddhanagar. In a bid to honour its customers, the ATM counter was inaugurated by a member of its Grihalaxmi Bachat Khata, Renuka Shrestha. The principal aim of the bank is to reach out to the maximum number of Nepali citizens, pointed out the chairman of the bank Sanjay Bahadur Shah at the inauguration ceremony. —HNS
2nd Int’l travel mart
KATHMANDU: Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) along with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal Airlines are organising the 2nd NATTA Himalayan International Travel Mart 2007 in Kathmandu from May 11 to 13, 2007. The National Tourism Fair is also being organised simultaneously in order to showcase and promote the unique tourism products of the country. — HNS
Pashmina exhibition
KATHMANDU: An exclusive Pashmina Sample Design Exhibition-cum-Sale is being jointly organised by the Federation of Handicrat Association of Nepal (FHAN) and Nepal Pashmina Industry Association (NPIA) at Himalaya Hotel, Kupondol, Lalitpur. The event held on Friday and Saturday is being managed by the Handicraft design and Development Centre (HANDECEN). The exhibition is expected to facilitate product development for pashmina entrepreneurs as well diversify the pashmina ranges as per the taste of the market, claimed a HANDECEN press release. — HNS
