NATTA meets Gurung

KATHMANDU: A delegation of Nepal Association of Tours and Travel Agents (NATTA) led by its president Dhruba Narayan Shrestha met Prithvi Subba Gurung, minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation and apprised him about the current situation of Nepali tourism industry. NATTA briefed Gurung on air connectivity and lack of adequate seats for tourists visiting Nepal. — HNS

Sugar, timber seized

KATHMANDU: A team of the area police office Birta Parsa has confiscated 278 sacks of sugar left unattended at Birgunj sub-metropolis-17. Sugar worth Rs 326,650 has been sent to the Inarwa customs office, the Central Police News Room said. The police Parsa team also confiscated 400 cubic feet of timber with three tractors at Gandakchok at Birgunj-17. The three tractors were sent to the District Forest Office, Parsa. — RSS
