NTB for western India
KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board launched its new promotion campaign ‘Naturally Nepal – Once is not enough’, amongst tour operators and the media of western India from March 28th to April 4th, 2007. As part of the campaign strategy, NTB undertook an extensive roadshow covering Mumbai, Ahemdabad, Vadodara, Nagpur and Pune. Keeping in mind the need of tourists from western India, the packages launched were categorised into weekend breaks, adventure holidays and lifetime experiences. The road show, done for the very first time in western India, was aimed at further increasing the number of Indian tourists visiting Nepal from this region and also boosting the numbers visiting Pokhara. — HNS
Bridge in four days
KALIKOT: The construction of a bridge over Tila river in Kalikot district in the section of Surkhet-Jumla roadway was completed in four days by the Nepal Army. After the construction of the baily-bridge with a length of 48.78 metres and a carrying capacity of 24 tonnes, vehicles can run up to Jubitha VDC of Kalikot. Buses and jeeps regularly ply between Jumla and Nagmaghat at present. — RSS
