Relocation of office

RASUWA: People have demanded to relocate the Customs Office in Rasuwagadhi, which had shifted to Syafrubeshi three years ago. The traders said revenue from the imported goods from Tibet has dropped as the office was located at Syafrubeshi, 16-km south of the country’s Northern border. Silk farming popular

TANAHUN: A large number of people are taking to silk farming in Tanahun district after it became popular in Bandipur VDC. 29 people in the VDC have started silk farming at the commercial level. The cold climate here is found to be suitable for silk farming, according to locals. The people in the VDC have also started cultivating Kimbu plants, a plant that is used for feeding silk worms. — RSS
