KATHMANDU: Kumari Bank Ltd (KBL) has announced the monthly lucky winner for the month of Aswin under its ‘bankma balance, haatma ghar’ scheme. Amol Jha of Ratopul Kathmandu has won a diamond ring for the month. According to KBL, the lucky winner’s account number is SP509NRD and the winning ticket number is 1157704. The grand prize of the scheme, a two-half storey house at Guna Cooperative’s Reliable Colony at Bhaisepati, will be announced through a lucky draw in August next year. — HNS

Concern over garbage

KATHMANDU: Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has raised concern over the piling of garbage in the capital for last one week. Issuing a press release, HAN today said that the growing piles of garbage would not only tarnish the beauty of the city but also cause number of serious health related problems. It has urged the government and concerned authorities to clear the garbage, as it could have a negative impact among tourists.
