HPL launches a range of polymer products in Nepal

Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, India (HPL) has launched a wide range of polymer products in Nepal.

The Kolkata-based petrochemical industry unveiled its products in Nepal through Esskay Pvt Ltd as the authorised agents yesterday. Ujjal De, vice-president marketing of HPL, announced the launching of HPL products in Nepal. The product range includes mostly polymer products, including polyethylene and polypropylene.

"At present, we have come up with Halene-H, Helene-P and and Halene-L polymer products. Soon, we will be launching all grades of products, as Nepal is a small market," said Ujjal De.

Halene-H is a high density polyethylene (HDPE) and applied for manufacturing various products ranging from thin films to large containers for chemicals, according to its grade.

Halene-P is a polypropylene and comes in various grades such as homopolymer, random and heterophasic copolymer, and used for manufacturing TQ-films to automotive and luggage shell moldings. Halene-L is a linear low density polyethylene, which is available in a wide range of grades. The LLDPE is used for manufacturing various goods such as adhesive lamination films and heavy duty films.
