Kathmandu, March 31 :

Hansraj Hulaschand & Company, the sole authorised dealer for Bajaj motorbikes in Nepal, has launched a new scooter, Kristal DTS-I.

The latest innovation from the leading two-wheeler brand comes in Nepal with a tagline ‘seven coolest things no other bike has’, states a company press release here.

Positioned as an ‘intelligent scooter’, the four-stroke Bajaj Kristal boasts of a 95cc DTS-i engine unit with ExhausTEC that provides better fuel efficiency and smoother ride. It has another unique Bajaj technology, the revolutionary SNS (spring-in-spring) suspension for better riding experience.

Primarily targeted towards young women, it is created as a quick commuter for easy city riding and offers a combination of performance, convenience and sleek styling designed to enhance the personality of the fairer sex, adds the release. The Bajaj Kristal weighs about 99 kg with a ground clearance of 131mm, enabling easier handling. With the widest wheelbase of 1250 mm it provides for a lot of foot space. Moreover, an under seat storage space of 22 litres with open/close beeper and an appreciable front glove box space makes the Kristal an ideal shopping bike.

The Kristal does away with the choke and features an electrically operated fuel pump/feeder, which eases the starting engine in cold conditions. It has a new front fuelling system that ensures a convenient refuelling to the rider by avoiding the bother of getting off the vehicle while re-fuelling.

The Bajaj Kristal looks aerodynamic with sharp contours and lines and is available in red, black, blue and silver colours.
