Nepal Overseas Marketing Pvt Ltd (NOMPL) has been appointed as the authorised

distributors of Polaroid instant camera and films for Nepal. It ha also introduced a new 790/DIS instant camera in Nepal. The newly launched product uses 700 instant films that has a built-in mercury free battery. The 790/DIS instant camera and films have been targetted to event management companies, modelling agencies, tourism industry, photography institutes, and fun lovers especially youth and adventurers, states a press release issued here today.

NOMPL intends to revive the Polaroid culture in Nepal — which was a hit few years back — with the reduction in its prices. The company has also introduced Polaroid Viva (colour and B/W) films that are used for printing instant passport size photos.

NOMPL, which has been marketing various brands for a decade, currently is also authorised distributor for Gillette, Johnson & Johnson, Wella,Yardley, Duracell, Unilever, Parker, Cusson, St Ives and Milton Lylod.According to NOMPL, Dis 700 films, Viva colour and 790 camera are priced at Rs 700, Rs 600 and Rs 4000 respectively.It is estimated that over 75 million people worldwide currently use Polaroid cameras and films. According to the distributor, advantages like affordability, portable, quality photos and reliability are the value-added features of Polaroid.
