Kishan Lal Dugar, chairman of the group, unveiled the new product. The company has a production plant at Hattimuda, Biratnagar with a capacity of 200 and 250 batteries per minute in R6 and R20 sizes. Dhanvi Carbide manufactures the battery using internationally acclaimed automatic synchronise technology, informed Vikas Dugar, managing director at K L Dugar Group. Unlike other batteries, the Tricell comes with metal bottom and red cap-metal top, which makes it leakage proof and ensures durability, he added. “Every Tricell battery is kept in computerised discharging cabin before it goes to the market. This ensures its standard,” he said. The Tricell battery is priced at Rs 23 per pair of R20 size and Rs 9 per pair for R6 size. The company plans to introduce alkaline battery in the near future.
