British economy grows 0.7% in second quarter: data

LONDON: Britain's economy accelerated in the second quarter of 2015, helped by a rebounding services sector, official data showed on Tuesday.

Gross domestic product grew 0.7 percent between April and June, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said in an initial estimate. That matched analysts' forecasts and followed 0.4-percent growth in the first quarter.
