ALIC turns three
KATHMANDU: Asian Life Insurance Company (ALIC) entered in the third year of its operation. Established on April 3, 2008, it now has 20 branches and 28 contact branches across the country. ALIC has already provided training to more than 25,000 insurance agents. The company has issued insurance to about 258,000 people in both rural and urban areas and was successful in earning a net profit of Rs 5.33 million last fiscal (2009-10). — HNS
Sunrise’s 30th branch
KATHMANDU: Sunrise Bank Ltd has started its 30th branch in Kathmandu’s Sankhamul. This branch has been established to provide banking services to small and medium industries located in the area. The bank has already collected Rs 13.75 billion and has floated loans worth Rs 12.15 billion and invested Rs 1.36 billion. The bank has earned a profit of Rs 152 million in the first six months of this fiscal year. It currently has 32 ATMs operating.
