Siraha, November 17:

A meeting of Golbazaar-based entrepreneurs and businessmen has formed a 13-member Golbazaar Security Committee (GSC) — to fight against abduction, forceful donation and ransom — under the coordination of Satrughan Singh here today.

“We have formed GSC to fight unitedly against the extortion, donation and abduction as different armed groups have been threatening businessmen and industrialists demanding huge amount of money everyday,” coordinator Singh said.

Businessmen are forced to form such a committee after an armed gang took Rs 6,70,000 ransom to release abducted businessman Mahesh Shah a month ago, they said.

“The GSC will fight

unitedly, if there is any kind of threat to businessmen,” Singh said, adding that altogether 135 local businessmen and industrialists are affiliated to the committee at present.
