Carlsberg participates in Earth Hour

KATHMANDU: Carlsberg Group joined millions of people and businesses across the globe to draw attention to climate change by switching off non-essential lights at breweries, offices, billboards, warehouses, garages and other locations across the globe for one hour on Saturday.

It is the 10th time that Carlsberg Group has participated in the event, covering more than 17 Carlsberg companies and 45 breweries.

Carlsberg Group recently published its 2016 sustainability report, which details the progress made during the past year in the areas of energy and carbon, water, responsible drinking, and health and safety.

By taking part in this global campaign, Carlsberg Group acknowledges its commitment, not only to Earth Hour, but also to its overall goals in the fields of combating climate change, sustainable growth and environmental stewardship, as per a media release.
