KATHMANDU: With cutthroat competition driving the pace, telecom service providers here are showering offers and schemes on their customers. Nepal Telecom (NT), Spice Nepal Private Ltd (SNPL) and United Telecom Ltd (UTL) this

season have again come

up with more schemes

and offers.

NT recently reduced its postpaid monthly charge to Rs 300 effective from December 16. NT NT spokesperson Surendra Bahadur Thike said starting from December 17 NT has its scheme Friends and Family under which postpaid mobile users can choose two GSM numbers and one PSTN number and make calls for Rs 90 paisa per minute.

Meanwhile, SNPL along with its number of value added service has one more additional offer — New Year New Offer.

In this, Mero Mobile customers can buy a Mero SIM at Rs 350 with a talk time of Rs 350. Mero Mobile, a private service provider, gives the call made by its mobile to landlines and other networks across the city within Nepal at local call rates. There is no STD charge for any calls made to mobile or landline, anywhere within Nepal. All outgoing call will be at local rates.

UTL has launched UTL Min-50 Winter Offer, reducing the call tariff to 50 paisa per two minutes without taxes.

The company is also continuing its Buy-One-Get-One-Free scheme as well customers get one U-SIM with talk time worth Rs 600 (UTL-UTL) free of cost when buying an U-SIM.
