Central bank forms ‘Grievance Hearing Cell’

Kathmandu, July 31:

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has formed a ‘Grievance Hearing Cell’ (GHC) under the coordinator-ship of deputy governor, with a view to hear and solve problems faced by the borrowers.

The complaints are being poured at the central bank and 17 cases — 12 related to Nepal bank Ltd, four related to Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) and one related to Machhapuchhre Bank Ltd (MBL) — have already been solved, states a press release issued here today by NRB.

Among those firms whose complaints are settled are Aintape Food Industries Pvt Ltd, The Fulbari Ltd, Ramjanaki Cold Storage, Janamukhi Construction Co Pvt Ltd, Trishakti Soap and Chemicals Pvt Ltd, G B Textile Mills, Pvt Ltd, J K Wools, Mahalaxmi Garments Industries, Unique Cambu Product Pvt Ltd, Trishakti Soap and Chemicals Pvt Ltd and Timlyautentials Manufacturers Pvt Ltd.

The issues will be seriously looked into by the concerned departments of the apex bank.

The central bank is hopeful that the new move would help in controlling and recovering of bad debts.
