CG Corp Global, a prominent multinational conglomerate, has categorically refuted recent reports circulating on various news portals, alleging Income Tax Department raids on CG Foods India Pvt Ltd, including locations in Rajasthan.
In a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, CG Corp Global has asserted that these reports are entirely devoid of truth and are baseless.
The corporation has affirmed that no such raids have been conducted by the Income Tax Department of India, neither in Rajasthan nor at any other location associated with its subsidiary, CG Foods India Pvt Ltd.
Additionally, CG Corp Global has declared its intent to take rigorous legal action against those responsible for disseminating the unfounded rumors. It has said it is committed to pursuing all available legal remedies to protect their integrity.
"We treat such rumours seriously and are pursuing strict legal action against those responsible for spreading misinformation.
Our operations continue to run smoothly without any disruption," the statement reads.
Recently, certain Indian news portals reported that the Income Tax team in Guwahati had conducted raids at five locations of CG Corp Global in India. According to India Posts English, this action by the Income Tax Department was initiated based on information regarding alleged insufficient income tax payments in Binod Chaudhary's company, CG Corp Global, and other group companies.
