CNP hotels’ issue
KATHMANDU: The sub-committee formed by the parliamentary committee on natural resources and means to probe into the issue of seven resorts in Chitwan National Park has concluded that no hotel should be allowed to operate inside the park. The sub-committee, in its report to the committee, said no permanent structure should be permitted in the park area as that affects the park’s biodiversity. Saying that national parks are not opened to run businesses but to conserve biodiversity, the report of the sub-committee stressed on making the park truly a conservation area.
