KAPILVASTU: Farmers in Kapilvastu district are attracted to coffee farming after the international demand for coffee increased. Coffee is easily grown in hill areas and fetches good income with simple technology. Coffee from Kapilvastu is sent abroad after collecting in Himal Cooperative, said farmer Ram Bahadur Chhetri. A district coffee entrepreneurs’ association has also been set up. Kapilvastu coffee is directly exported to Japan, Korea, Singapore and Holland. The association also markets the coffee in neighbouring districts including Rupandehi, said a farmer of Kopawa, Harilal Neupane. h
